I didn't see it coming.
When Cindy ordered pizza last night it didn't dawn on me.
Then as I was about to eat my first piece, one of my kids asked, 'Dad, is pizza fast food?' (My kids are helping hold me accountable to my Daniel Fast!)
Is pizza fast food? What do you think?

Daniel Fast Dilemma

Wow, that's a tough one. In my fast food fast, I kind of use "if it has a drive thru, then it's fast food" as my tell tell sign (that way I include Starbucks!). That being said, I am fully capable of abusing the conveince of ordering out for pizza if I'm not careful...so, for my fast, I have not eliminated pizza I buy at the freezer section of HEB, but I have personally defined "Pizza Hut" pizza, etc. to be off limits.
So, did you eat the pizza? :)
i, like you, have given up "fast food"....and I don't consider pizza fast food...because technically, it isn't prepared in the bucket of grease that most fast food companies immerse their food in.
But for me...it's the fries, the cheesesticks, the fried food that is the very essence of "fast food", that is what I am avoiding at all costs.
but i could be biased. :) i am a fan of pizza hut's thin and crispy pineapple and ham pizza. there's fruit on that, right?
Well John, having worked at Papa John's, Domino's and now for Pizza Hut I'd have to say that there is a reason Pizza Hut is so good and if the Daniel Fast is supposed to be about being healthy than there is no dilemma. And that's not a good thing for your pizza craving.
I hear pizza is quite easy to make from scratch and would fit very well into a Daniel FEAST. Pizza Hut... not so much. ;)

I also gave up fast food. It's been really tough, especially going to san antonio for 4 days last week for Women of Faith. But, like Kim says, there's not a drive thru. So, I hope it isn't "fast food" because I've eaten pizza 3 times since last wednesday...(once was leftovers...) :)
