Faith Anyone?

There's a question that was posed to me a few weeks ago by Francis Chan in his book Crazy Love that keeps rolling around in my soul.

The question is this: "What are you doing right now that requires faith?"

Right now? How would your life be different if you didn't believe in God?

I've been leading Oso Creek 9 years as of today. It's so easy to become complacent, comfortable, or just lazy.

Our entire life is supposed to be an adventure of faith! Not a spiritual sleepwalk. Not just a life of to do lists that we can accomplish on our own. But an adventure that is ONLY possible because of God.

So I ask you - and me - What are you doing TODAY that requires faith?

The spirit must be stirring the same question in multiple hearts...that same point has been a theme of conversation over the past few days and subject of a recent blog posting.

Sometimes we take a risk to prove we have faith. It can mask true fear because we get to prove our faith by taking a self-appointed risk. Contrast that with a faith-stretching prompting of the Spirit which may be less glamorous, less ideal and more cutting at any shadow mission at play in the heart. Now there's some rubber-meets-road faith action!
