Emily's On Her Way Home!

As I type Emily is driving home from Hardin-Simmons and getting close to San Antonio! This is her first time to drive by herself on the road and I've talked to her about every 30 minutes! (Any of you other parents ever done that?)

It was snowing this morning when she left Abilene and she better be bringing the cold with her . . . I for one am tired of our stinkin' hot & sticky winter!

Pastor John - You, Mike Ilse, and other father's of teenage+ daughters scare me! :) I have always struggled with fear of my daughter growing up and my lack of ability of being able to protect her all the time - But your example of faith and trust in the Lord has always allowed me to seek God for the peace and understanding of my limited abilities and acknowledge HIS immeasurable, unlimited abilities to watch over His flock. For He is the original Father! Please help me out and let it go just a tad, (I type this with a smile and a laugh because I know it's impossible) so I can see in my mentors that there is a little light at the end of the daughter's father tunnel. I know you can never completely let go - and I don't ever plan on it - but I am praying for all of us to find God's peace in this area! Thanks for being such great Fathers!!

In Him,

Greg
