What an awesome Men's Encounter we had this weekend!! Thanks to Mark Patterson, Greg Richmond and JT Wranosky for leading! And thanks for all the men who shared their heart and their stories of victory (and continuing struggle) in Christ!
And a special thanks to Chris Burns for humbly sharing this morning in worship. Wow, powerful.
That's what I love about Oso Creek and about Encounter . . . . the willingness to be transparent for the sake of the Kingdom. That's why Encounter never gets old because it's about us sharing our lives so that other lives can be transformed!

Thank you John for your encouragement and leadership! I am so stoked already for the next Encounter this Spring. Men, if you missed an opportunity to attend either as a participant for the first time, or as part of the staff giving a talk or helping out in numerous other ways, please start preparing your hearts, minds, and schedules to attend next time. You don't want to miss what awesome things God has doing in men's lives! God has shown up big-time in all three Encounters I have attended - and you always learn something about your own walk with Jesus as we all try to live out our lives in ways that matter for the Kingdom. Don't let the whispers of fear, inadaquacy, or guilt keep you from experiencing an Encounter from God. They are lies! Get rid of the excuses - make time for Encounter - and come find out what God has in store for your life! We are already forming a leadership team and getting prepared - please let me know if you want to help or have ideas! I want to thank all 8 of the men who attended and opened their hearts to what God wanted them to hear - I know it is not an easy thing to do! Thank you to all the speakers, audio/visual crew, worship leaders, and coaches who made God's work possible. KEEP LIVING IN VICTORY!!
