It's amazing how small - how connected - our world has become. Sometimes -- as we're seeing with the Swine Flu -- it's not in ways that are so great.
But for me watching all of this has just driven home this point of how connected we are . . . Just think how in a few short days the Flu traveled from Mexcio to the US and to New Zealand, and Israel, and Spain, and Scotland, and Peru, and Guatemala. (And that was as of yesterday!) Wow! It's so true today as someone has said: 'When China sneezes we catch a cold.' (and when Mexico coughs we get the swine flu! :)
My point is that the world's 'shrunkeness' is a reality as followers of Jesus that we cannot (and should not) hide from. As a matter of fact it's opportunity! [As I was thinking about this I thought about the Coca Cola add from my kid days that I posted below for fun . . . prophetic]
With the internet, with global travel so easy, etc - it opens up so many doors to impact our world . . . What happens when the Kingdom of God becomes viral???
Enough rambling . . . What are your thoughts???

this is awesome, brought back some great memories of 3 channels and ME being the remote control.
Something that I would like to add about this "Viral" movement....
The question you ask is
"With the internet, with global travel so easy, etc - it opens up so many doors to impact our world . . . What happens when the Kingdom of God becomes viral???"
and its exciting in a sense...but much like the Swine Flu....people take Christianity into the safe places of their hearts, their homes, their work places.....
the way to stamp out a virus is to let it run it's course, to limit contact with others, and to wash your hands plenty.....are we doing that with faith and what we know about the Kingdom of God?
