No Man's Land

Please keep praying with us that God would minimize the power of Ike and protect those in it's path.
And pray that we would be ready and willing to respond to needs in any way that God asks us!

As you know Corpus is in 'no-man's land' right now - it seems that we're out of the main hit zone and still there is that slight chance that it could turn towards us.

With all of the factors mind - including trying to determine what volunteers are still here and who has already left - our plan is to make a decision about Sunday morning Celebration late today or early tomorrow, and I will let you know as soon as we do.

I am glad to see at this point, that you all are out of the loop. Please pray for mine and Gabe's parents because they are both in line for a direct hit and lots of damage...ugh. My parents were not prepared because of all my dad has been through and so they have no boards for their house. They will be flying here to Maine tomorrow and I just pray that they will not return to a mess...thanks!! Gabe's afmily seems pretty prepared and will be hanging out with famiyl in Alabama..both pre-planned trips :)

I think we really should meet to worship - if only briefly. We have a lot to be thankful for and certainly others to pray for. My two cents -- even though you didn't ask :)
