Amen - after reading "The Prodigal God" - I have been convicted of being someone who's prayer life with God consists primarily of petition. My new Holy Spirit led prayer priority list consists of:
1. Adoration
2. Thankfulness
3. Praise
4. More Adoration
5. Thankfulness in all circumstances (1 THESS 5)
6. More Praise
7. Petition
Now I don't actually have a list - but I wanted to make a point to myself that I had lost the correct focus and made it all about getting prayers answered the way I thought they should be answered rather than having faith and trust in God that He would have the answers that mattered - all in His perfect, righteous, and often not understandbale ways! I stand in awe of you Jesus!
