MONday Thoughts

MONday - It even sounds like a heavy day . . .

Had a great Sunday . . . Awesome to see parents responding with such a desire to be visionaries for their children!
And we had a great Discovery Dessert . . . our first time doing it this way . . . was great to have Discovery back in our home.

Watched a great on-line interview of Tiger Woods today (can check it out here if you're interested). Most powerful line I heard was in response to a question about if he ever was tempted to 'hit the snooze button in life' or 'just coast for a while.' He said that the thought never even crossed his mind. That his life philosophy everyday was that 'tomorrow he was going to be better than he is today.'
As I read the gospels, I think Jesus was in some ways like Tiger Woods. (Yes, actually the other way around) He lived life to the fullest! He LIVED every moment! What if we did that? What if you were a more powerful follower of Jesus (or Dad or homemaker or salesman or teacher or coach or you name it) tomorrow, than you are today?

Looking forward to watching the hoops National Championship game tonight. My prediction - Kansas by 4 (OK, it's more of a hope!)

Discovery Online!

We want to make it as easy as possible for anyone to Connect with Oso Creek. And in seeking to do that we've made a change with our Discovery Class and I wanted all of you to know all about it. The news is that Discovery Online is now online!

When someone is interested in Oso Creek and who we are and/or how to become a member, they now begin by going to our website: Osocreek.org.
From there, they click on Discovery Online on the left hand side of the front page and here is where they end up.

From here, they can read through the information about who we are, what our story is, and what our vision is. . . . Then, they fill out the What About You section and with a click submit it to our office. And when they do that they will be automatically signed up for the next Discovery Dessert!

The Discovery Desserts will be held at our home on Sunday evenings. There, we will introduce the staff and ministries, answer any questions, go through the Membership Covenant and just hang out in a laid back setting.

I'm pumped about this new approach and want you to be able to let folks know how they can connect with us. I also encourage you to read through Discovery Online as a little refresher :) and let me know any changes that you think would make it better.
