I've had a slow posting week after a wild and crazy but awesome weekend!

I spent Friday afternoon through Sunday evening with our Elder Team at Lake Corpus Christi and they are an incredible group of guys. Tim Klaus, John Richerson, Greg Richmond and Mike Ilse are all guys chasing Jesus and on board with God's mission for Oso Creek.

We prayed and planned a lot about God's vision for us and how we express that and flesh it out --- you will see much fruit of our time together in the months ahead.

It's just awesome to have men who are willing to walk alongside me in this journey . . . without it we will never reach our potential!

"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Prov 18:24

Leadership Prayer . . .

This evening our Elder Team is going to Lake Corpus Christi to pray, seek and dream for a day.

Please pray for our team: myself, John Richerson, Tim Klaus, Mike Isle, and Greg Richmond.

Pray that we would have wisdom, discernment, unity, and most of all ears to hear and eyes to see what God is telling us. This is an awesome group of men and I'm excited to be with them and see how God speaks to us!

"Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. . . . Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. . ." (Hebrews 13:7, 17)

Yuck!

I've had a heavy cold/sore throat thing move into my body the last 36 hours and it stinks!

Had an early morning Elder Team meeting this morning (6:30), then spent a couple of hours finishing up my sermon, then I actually went back to bed for a couple of hours! Hadn't done that in a looooong time.

I think most of the time God allows these things to get my attention and say 'slow down!' You ever experience that?
