There was some great connecting and equipping that went on this past weekend!
Kim Galloway did an incredible job with our Equipping Track class - How to Study the Bible - on Saturday. We had a great crowd and everybody left with a larger understanding of how God's Word can really impact our life. (And thanks to Maria Brandt for doing a great job filling in all the admin details!)
It was a great start to the book of Revelation on Sunday morning. If you missed it, I encourage you to click here and listen to the introduction of book and series that's gonna bring incredible blessings!
And then on Sunday Night we had an awesome Discovery Dessert with a bunch of new families who barely fit in my house! New Creekers ready to take on the journey with us!

Great Stuff!
Discovery Dessert last night was awesome! It's always fun to hear the excitement of new Creekers . . . And to hear the stories of their journeys . . . to hear how they found Jesus and how other Creekers have had huge impact on their lives!
I will teach you hidden lessons from our past—
stories we have heard and known,
stories our ancestors handed down to us.
We will not hide these truths from our children;
we will tell the next generation
about the glorious deeds of the Lord,
about his power and his mighty wonders. Psalm 78:2-4

Discovery Dessert
One of the things we do that I look forward to the most is Discovery Dessert --- because I get to meet and hang out with folks who are new to Oso Creek at our home (and yes, we really do have dessert!).
If you haven't been to Discovery Dessert yet there's one this Sunday at 6:30 pm.
First, you just need to complete Discovery Online (click here) --- it'll take you 20 minutes or so and it will tell you all about Oso Creek and our history and vision and strategy. When you complete it you'll get your Discovery Dessert invite. It's worth it!
And if you know somebody who needs to come to Discovery Class then send this on to em' so they don't miss out.

THAT was Church!
Still recovering from a long Monday . . . but I forgot to tell you what an awesome Discovery Dessert we had at our house on Sunday evening!
Over 20 adults were here and about a dozen kids!
And all night as I answered questions and then we hung out, I heard story after story of how folks have been impacted at Oso Creek by YOU!
Many of them talked about how they instantly felt accepted.
One man talked about how he had never been at a church where you could 'come as you are' and there were no perfect people, only sinners!
A couple of other folks were open about how they are still 'seekers' on this faith journey and how through the incredible love of folks they were experiencing something supernatural!
It was an awesome Spirit-filled night, just sitting around hearing people's stories - their pain AND victories - and sharing about God's grace with those just beginning the journey.
When everyone was finally gone I told Cindy (in the spirit of Bill Hybels who I've heard say this) . . . now THAT was church!

What a Great Weekend!
The weather was perfect for Beach to Bay . . .
And then worship was rocking on Sunday! Great job Steve Garcia leading our team . . . and great job to the hot dog team!
And then Discovery Dessert was awesome last night as new Creeker families talked about how real and authentic you are, and how they have been incredibly blessed in so many ways in just a few weeks.
This weekend just reminded me of how gracious God is. How when we aren't even aware He is working behind the scenes to bless us. I went to sleep with a smile on my face . . . and even woke up with it on!
I pray that you are listening to the promptings of the Coach today (you can hear Sunday's message here if you don't have a clue!) ---- because He has a plan of greatness for your life!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
